 American designed Dirt Track consisting of sand, silt,

clay plus organics added (Bark Chips)

賽前準備
 Track prepared for both track work and race
meetings have been identically prepared since
1998 except for the cone off policy which has
been cancelled in Feb 2005
 自一九九八年起，不論晨操或賽事舉行
前，跑道的準備工作均完全相同，但以
往於賽馬日早上圍封距內欄六米範圍的
政策已於二○○五年二月取消

濕快地 曾受大雨影響，跑道面已熨平及較實.

快地 曾受大雨影響，但天氣巳告轉晴，跑道面層
耙開但，底層仍然很實。

好地 面層及底層並 實，而表層亦耙開。

慢地 因天氣持續晴朗，跑道面層耙開而底層巳變
得疏鬆。

濕慢地 天氣持續晴朗，但臨場則有微雨。由於雨量
不多，只令跑道面層變得濕慢，但不足以令
底層變得緊密 (表層可熨平或耕開)。
 Wet fast - After heavy rain and on a sealed track
 Fast - After heavy rain, the weather has cleared
and harrowed (Track firm )
 Good - The surface and sub-surface are not firm and
harrowed
 Slow - The sub-surface has become loose after a
dry spell and harrowed
 Wet slow - Small amount of rain, only enough rain to
make the surface muddy but not enough to
tighten the sub-surface.(either harrowed or
sealed)

 It appears that most variations are pace related after
