PASS THE ACTION

Each group will have to line up.


The first member from the group will
act the verb written in the card.
The next groupmate then quickly guess
and act it as well to the next student in
line.
The last member is the one who will
write the answer on the board.
RULES:
All of the group members except the
first one will turn around. They are
allowed to look ONLY if it’s their turn to
guess. Tap the shoulder of your
groupmates as a go signal.
Speaking while acting is illegal.
The first group with most number of
correct answers will win.
GERUNDS
-are words that are
formed with verbs but
act as nouns.

A gerund will function as the
subject of a verb when it is
the subject of the sentence
and comes before the main
verb of the sentence.
Reading is relaxing.

COMPLEMENT

follows a linking verb and


describes or identifies
the subject.
a linking verb is a verb
that describes the
subject by connecting it
to a predicate.

linking verbs: is, are,
am, be, are, was, were,
been, being, seem, etc.

instructed to think of a
GERUND word and write it
on their headbands.

MECHANICS:
The class will be given three (3) minutes
to think of a sentence using the GERUND
they wrote.
 The teacher will then play music and
while the music is playing, the students’
will pass the ball to the next person
beside them while dancing.
When the music stop, the person
holding the ball will utter the
sentence he/she constructed.
ASSIGNMENT
Directions: Make/Draw a comic
strip conversation and must
include gerunds in the dialogues
of the characters. Work should be
done in long bond paper.
