• A RATIO OF 5 AND 6 CAR SPACES PER 1000SQFT FOR RETAIL SHOPS.

PARKING SHOULD BE WITHIN 30M FROM THE MAIN ENTERANCE.
• TWO ACCESIBLE CAR PARKINGS 3600 MMX5000MM WITH ALL
NECESSARY SIGNAGES.
• FOR CINEMAS AND THEATRES 1 CAR PARKING FOR
10 PEOPLE.
• For car, the minimum parking space to be 3 m x 6 m when
individual parking space is required and 2.75 m x 5 m when
common parking space is required.
• Space for scooter/two wheeler and bicycle to be not less than 1.25
msq and 1.00 msq respectively.

 FIRE AND SAFETY
• FIRE DOOR SHOULD BE WITHIN 30M FROM THE FARTHEST POINT OF THE MALL IT CAN

• INCREASED BY 50 PERCENT WHEN PROPER ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF FIRE HYDRANT
SYSTEMS ARE INSTALLED.
• ALL THE INTERNAL WALL SHOULD PROVIDE FIRE RESISTANCE UPTO 60 MINUTES.
• ALL THE FIRE EXIT DOORS AND WALLS SHOULD PROVIDE RESISTANCE FROM FIRE UPTO
120MINUTES.
• One 9 liter water expelling extinguisher or ABC 5 kg/6 kg fire extinguisher, for every 200
m2 of floor area or part there of with minimum of two extinguishers per compartment
or floor of the building. The extinguishers should be so located as to be available within
15 m radius.
• SMOKE DETECTORS ONE PER 400MSQ OF FLOOR AREA.
• NO STAIRCASE SHOULD BE INCLINED AT ANGLE MORE THAN 45DEGRESS.
• SATIRCASE SHOULD HAVE FLIGHT OF 1250M WITH ATLEAST 250MM WIDE
• TREAD AND 190MM WIDE AND BALUSTER WITH HANDRAIL HEIGHT NOT

WATER AND TOILETS REQUIREMENTS
