Mauna Loa, Hawaii


Mauna Loa is the largest

1572, the Tall Volcano has
erupted for 33 times and

caused by the volcano are
restricted to intracaldera area
of the region. A safe distance

what people consider safe for
their life since this volcano
has killed around 6,000
people so far.

The Ulawun Volcano is an

Papua New Guinea. The
eruptions from this volcano

carter of the volcano. So

eruptions. It has been
erupting actively since the
year 1700. The local

buildings in Goma.

‘Mountain of Fire’. This is the
most active volcano in
Indonesia and it has
produced more lava than any
other volcano of the world.
This volcano has been
erupting very frequently since
the year 1548 and therefore
has been active since past
10,000 years. According to
the experts, the Mt. Merapi
has resulted in the extinction
of the Hindu Kingdom of
Mataran as a result of its
active eruptions. Near the
slopes of Mt. Merapi, the city
of Yogyakarta is located,
which is the habitat to a
thousands of people. This
volcano killed around 353
people when it lastly erupted
in the year 2010.

cover of these shelters.

Yellowstone is therefore
considered as a super
volcano. According to the
experts, if this volcano
erupts anytime, it would
easily kill 87,000 of people at
the moment.
