Lewis Latimer was a self taught draftsman. He
did not go to college.

A draftsman is a
person who makes
detailed technical
plans or drawings.
In 1874, along with W.C. Brown, Latimer co-invented an
improved version of a train water closet, which is a bathroom
compartment for railroad trains.
The two inventions Latimer improved and
assisted in creating are...
The reason Ms. Hall admires this inventor is because Latimer
continued to try to improve everyday living for the public.
