 INTRODUCTION
o Compressed Air Car-Powered by compressed Air Engine.
o It has Emission Free Piston, Engine uses Compressed Air as Fuel.
o Gasoline-Main source of Fuel, Very Expensive and Impractical(Environmental
standpoint), Non-Renewable resource, it will eventually run out.
o So one possible alternative is the compressed air car.
o Compressed Air Cars runs on Compressed Air instead of Gasoline.
o It powered by two cylinder compressed engine.
 VEHICLE PARTS
COMPRESSED AIR TANK
oIt localized Underneath the Vehicle.
oThis Compressed Air Storage System is Safe to Risk of Explosion.
oIt hold 90 cubic meters of air, compressed to 300 bars.
oThe same tanks used to carry the liquid gas used by buses for public
transport.
oTanks are Not Made of Metals, Rather they are made.
 THE BODY

oCar Body-Built with Fiber and Injected Foam.

oTwo main advantages: Cost and weight.
oSheet steel-Low Cost than Fiber.
oBut Fiber is safer.
oIt doesn’t cut like steel.
oFiber easier to repair, glue, doesn’t rust.
 THE AIR FILTER

oAir-Compressed by on Board compressor Or Service stations Equipped with

High-Pressure Compressor.
oBefore compression, Air must be Filtered to get rid of any Impurities.
oCarbon Filter are used to Eliminate dirt, dust, humidity and abundant abrasive
particle.
oSystem eliminate and reduces existing Pollution.
oThe air that comes out of the car is cleaner than the Air that went in.
 THE CHASSIS
oChassis-Highly resistant, Light, Aluminium rods glued together.
oAluminium rods Enables to build more shocks-resistant Chassis than regular
Chassis.
oThe rods are Glued in the same way as Aircraft.
oAluminium allows quick assembly.
oThis System helps to reduce Manufacture time.
 TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION

oPiston 1-Takes in Air, Compresses at 300 psi & 200*F in compression

Chamber during 1st Cycle of Engine.
oPiston pauses, Small Amount of Air is released in expansion Chamber. It
Creates Low Pressure of 14 psi, Low Temperature, Low volume.
oA High Speed Shutter connects the Compression & Expansion Chamber.
oSudden Pressure & Temperature Difference in the two Chamber creates
Pressure Wave in Expansion Chamber, Thus Producing Work Pressure Wave
in Expansion Chamber Work that drives the piston to power the engine.
 BASIC PRICIPLE
oThe piston work in two stages, intermediate stage of compression and
expansion.
oEngine has two function.
oTo compare ambient air
oTo make successive expansion thereby power is produced.
 WORKING

o Compressed Air-Stored in Fiber or Glass Fiber Tanks at a Pressure of 4600psi

o Fed through Air Injector to the Engine & flows into a Small Chamber, where
Expansion occurs.
o Air Pushes the Piston down & moves the Crankshaft, which gives power.
o Car can run on Traditional Fuel in combination with Air.
o The change of energy source is controlled electronically.
o Tank can be refilled at the nearest Air pump . Car motors requires a small amount of
oil(0.8 liters) that has to be changed just every 50,000km.

 ADVANTAGES

o Fast recharge time.

o Long storage lifetime of Air.
o Potentially lower initial cost than battery electric vehicle when mass production
takes place.
o A pure Compressed Air Vehicle production no pollution at the tailpipe.
o The Compressed air Engine also offer drives, the option of using Fossil Fuel or Bio-
fuels to heat the air as it enters the engine.
o Air cars are lighter than conventional cars.
 DISADVANTAGES

oWhen Compressor runs on Gasoline, it will create Pollution.

oOne-to-two hour Waiting for the car’s built-in Air Compressor to Compressor
air could become a problem on cross-country trips.
oThe distance that an Air- Car can cover without refueling is crucial because
very few filling stations will have compressed air pumps available.
 CONCLUSION

oAir powered cars is a realization of latest technology in automobile field.

oIt eliminates the use of Non-Renewable fuels.
oIt Prevents Pollution caused by Millions of Automobiles all over the world.
oThis could be the future of automobiles and step to a Healthier Environment.
