ENGINE OVERHAULING

STEERING BOX

• Steering is the collection of components, linkages, etc which allow an automobile to follow
the desired course.The primary purpose of steering is to allow the driver to drive the
vehicle.
• The main parts of the steering box are

• (ii) Sector shaft with gear,
• (iii) Worm shaft with gear,
• (iv) Ball Bearings
• (v) Oil pump
BRAKE CHAMBER
• Brake is a mechanical device that inhibits motion by absorbing
energy from a moving system. Most breaks use friction for this
process

• SPEED GOVERNOR
• It is a device used to measure or limit speed of a machine such as an engine. Eg
centrifugal governor
GEAR BOX

• A gear box is a machine in a power transmission system which provides


controlled application of the power. The term transmission simply refers to the
GEARBOX that uses gears and gear trains to provide speed and torque conversions from a
rotating power source to another device.

FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM

• Fuel injection system supplies the required high pressure fuel into the
combustion chamber.
• They are of two types
• (i) Inline distribution pump
• (ii) Rotary distribution pump.
