ABSTRACT
Water is a transparent, tasteless, odorless, and nearly colorless chemical substance Which is the
main constituet of earths streams, lakes and oceans and the fluid of most living organisms. It is
vital For all known forms of life, even though it provides no calories or organic nutrients.Water
filtration system and water purification system can both offer Health benefits and rid drinking
water from certain impurities.Filter water system typically remove more impurities than other
methods. It uses physical barriers such as activated carbon, UV disinfection or reverse
osmosis filters to sieve out pollutants like bacteria, parasites, heavy metals and pesticides.
There are also chemical procedures that can help dissolve unfavourable solids in the water
to make it consumable friendlyTo create purified water, impurities like inorganic ions,
organic compounds, bacteria, endotoxins and nucleases found in H20 are removed or
reduced to a minimum level through various methods including electrodeionisation,
ultrafiltration, mixed bed deionization or ultraviolet oxidation, to name a few. Many people
think purified and filtered water are synonymous but that is not the case as purified water
goes through additional processes. Due to its purified state, the water is also used in the
pharmaceutical and commercial beverage industry.
Key words: water , chemical, bacteria, ultrafiltration , commercial, organisms.
Introduction

Water is a transparent, tasteless, odorless, and nearly colorless chemical substance, which
is the main constituent of Earth’s streams, lakes, and oceans, and the fluids of most
living organisms Its chemical formula is H2O, meaning that each of its molecules contains
one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms, connected covalent bonds. Water covers 71% of the
Earth’s surface, mostly in seas and oceans.
Water filter removes impurities by lowering contamination of water using a fine physical
barrier, a chemical process, or a biological process. Filters cleanse water to different
extents for purposes such as providing agricultural irrigation, accessible drinking water,
public and private aquariums, and the safe use of ponds and swimming pools.
Water purification, process by which undesired chemical compounds, organic and inorganic
materials, and biological contaminants are removed from water
Water purification also meets the needs of medical, pharmacological, chemical, and
industrial applications for cleanw and potable water.
Methodology

1. Boiling
2. Filtering
3. Distilling
4. Chlorination
Boiling process

• Boiling is the process by which

a liquid turns into a vapor when
it is heated to its boiling point.
The change from a liquid phase
to a gaseous phase occurs
when the vapor pressure of the
liquid is equal to the
atmospheric pressure exerted
on the liquid.
Filtration process

• Filtration is a process that

removes particles from
suspension in water.
Removal takes place by a
number of mechanisms
that include straining,
flocculation, sedimentation
and surface capture.
Distillation process

• Distillation is a way to purify

water. Most bottled water is
purified by distillation. A variety
of organic compounds and
certain impurities, such as
silica, carbon dioxide and
ammonia, will still be present
after distillation. During
distillation, the water
evaporates through being
heated and then the
condensed vapors are
collected.
Chlorination process

• Water chlorination is the process

of adding chlorine or chlorine
compounds such as sodium
hypochlorite to water. This method
is used to kill certain bacteria and
other microbes in tap water as
chlorine is highly toxic. In
particular, chlorination is used to
prevent the spread of waterborne
diseases such
as cholera, dysenter,and typhoid.
Conclusion

• From the experiment it is concluded that the purifier water is

better than filter water.
• Purification process remove more than 99.5% of all incoming
impurities.
• Filter water may containant certain contaminants such as heavy
metals,pesticides,Mercury,lead and arsenic.
• Simple water system can’t remove the above contaminant.

I would like to express my special and submitted to

my teacher Dr.suvarna rawal maidam for giving me
this opportunity to do this wonderful project on the
“to study the hydrological status of filter water and
purifier water” , which also help me a lot of research
and I came to know about so many things.secondly I
would also like to thanks my parents and friends wo
helped me a lot in finalizing this project within the
limited time frame.
