Statement of the Problem

• Efficiency of the TKT course for Libyan teachers’ personal and


professional development is not well-spread.

• TKT only taken to satisfy a workplace’s requirement.

• TKT is not an obstacle to employment but it is an enhancement of


profession.
Objectives of the Study

• Examining the perceptions of prior TKT holders.

• The research focused on the benefits and effectiveness of the


course for its candidates.

• The research also aimed on how the course enhanced teachers’


teaching skills and knowledge

Test (TKT) course?

Significance of the Study

• The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) enhances the social and


collaborative characteristics of the learning experience.
• Enlightening survey responses promote teachers’ realization of the
benefits and enrichments.
• Preparation course provides the knowledge needed to pass the TKT test
• TKT is a certification recognized by the Ministry of Education in Libya.
• Training teachers to improve their basic teaching skills.
Literature Review

• According to a case study done by fellow researchers in Mexico, there is


a perceived TKT impact on teachers’ personal and professional
development.
• The research design followed a ‘mixed methods’ approach where data
were collected and analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Methodology

• The research pursued a questionnaire where subjective data was


collected.
• According to these respondents, adopting TKT brought a decent
variety of teaching strategies and a better understanding of
teaching process.
• Not only did the TKT course improve educators' employability, it
also helped them upgrade their classroom management skills.
