LIFESTYLE STORE( SHOPPING WEBSITE)

INTRODUCTION

E-commerce is fast gaining ground as an accepted and used business

paradigm. More and more business houses are implementing web sites
providing functionality for performing commercial transactions over the
web. It is reasonable to say that the process of shopping on the web is
becoming commonplace.

The objective of this project is to develop a general purpose e-commerce

store where product like clothes can be bought from the comfort of home
through the Internet. However, for implementation purposes, this paper will
deal with an online shopping for clothes.

An online store is a virtual store on the Internet where customers can

browse the catalog and select products of interest. The selected items may
be collected in a shopping cart. At checkout time, the items in the shopping
cart will be presented as an order. At that time, more information will be
needed to complete the transaction. Usually, the customer will be asked to
fill or select a billing address, a shipping address, a shipping option, and
payment information such as credit card number. An e-mail notification is
sent to the customer as soon as the order
Problem Statements

The Current shopping System is critical to set up online shops, customers to browse
through the shops, and a system administrator to approve and reject requests for
new shops and maintain lists of shop categories. This is a small scale project for
Online shopping System. The problems face by people during shopping offline such as
searching many stores to find right products ,higher prices by the products retailer
and etc are eliminated as customer can get all sorts of different item in an
categorised manner at same place and people can purchase the products from home
.

The basic idea is that the candidates can buy product from anywhere
during any time by using their card number and password provided to them. The
database will maintain the product details information. Customer can view their
product details using the card details. This Online shopping system involves with two
types of users.
Literature Survey

Review of Literature: Keyword search on “E-Commerce adoption in India” “e-business

in India” “E-Commerce and India” and “e-business and India” in various databases like
EBSCO, ProQuest, and Emerald Management Xtra .

E-Commerce/e-business research articles done in Indian context

Raven et al. compared India and China’s approaches in adoption of e-business. Based
on the literature survey and secondary data, the study analysed various factors
influencing the growth of e-businesses in the two countries. The factors examined
include government policy and focus, existing technology infrastructure regulatory
environment, experience and understanding of business operations, and culture,
among others.

Most of the study on adoption of technology was related to developed

markets like US and Europe, this study is an important contribution to evolving
literature as it dealt the problem of technology adoption in developing country
context. Study by Tarafdar and Vaidya examined the factors that determine the
organizational inclination to adopt E-Commerce (EC).
Project Scope
The supplementary specification applies to online shopping system. This specification defines
the non-functional requirement of the system such as:

Functionality:

Since it stand alone application, one or more user may use it at a time.

Usability:

Desktop interface

Windows 98/2000/XP/7/8

Technology:

Front End : HTML5,Java Script ,PHP

Back End : xampp

Database : MySql
Reliability:
The system is available during online time only .

Performance:
The performance depends on hardware specification

Objectives

The purpose of this document is to define the requirements of

Online shopping system. This supplementary specification lists the
requirements that are not readily captured in the use case model.
Supplementary specification and the use case model capture a complete
set of requirement of the system.
Requirement Specifications

OUTPUT DESIGN

Outputs from computer systems are required primarily to communicate the results
of processing to users. They are also used to provides a permanent copy of the results
for laterconsultation. The various types of outputs in general are:

•External Outputs, whose destination is outside the organization.

•Internal Outputs whose destination is with in organization and they are the

•User’s main interface with the computer.

INPUT DESIGN
Input design is a part of overall system design. The main objective during the input
design is asgiven below:

•To produce a cost-effective method of input.

•To achive the highest possible level of accuracy.
•To ensure that the input is acceptable and understood by the user.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Performance is measured in terms of the output provided by the application.

Requirement specification plays an important part in the analysis of a system. Only

whenthe requirement specifications are properly given, it is possible to design a system,
which will fitinto required environment. It rests largely in the part of the users of the
existing system to givethe requirement specifications because they are the people who
finally use the system. This isbecause the requirements have to be known during the initial
stages so that the system can bedesigned according to those requirements.

The requirement specification for any system can be broadly stated as given below:

•The system should be able to interface with the existing system

•The system should be accurate

•The system should be better than the existing systemThe existing system is completely
dependent on the user to perform all the duties.
Hardware and Software Requirements
Hardware requirements

The Hardware requirements are very necessary for a project to exist and
work properly.
Processor i-5
RAM 4 GB

Hard Disk Drive 500 GB

Software Requirements

Number Discription
1 Windows 7,8,10
2 HTML/CSS/Java Script/BootStrap
3 WampServer/Apache Server
4 PHP 5/MySql
Conclusion

We have successfully implemented the site ‘LifeStyle Store’. With the help of
various links and tools, we have been able to provide a site which will be live
soon and running on the web. We have been successful in our attempt to take
care of the needs of both the user as well as the administrator. Finally we hope
that this will go a long way in

Future Enhancement

It will add more collection of daily lifestyle products.

We will be starting sale options in this site.

The security of this site would be increased.
