What is an EMS ?

Environment management system.

An organisation to improve environmental


performances and to be recognized as durable
development actor.
 Who is concerned? A site or an industrial group, a local
administration, but also provider of services.
 It is a company or an organism label.

 It is not a product label.

Continual improvement ?

Environmental performances are :


 Physical aspect, connected to a measurable characteristic,
which can damage the environment.

 Organizational aspect, connected to the efficiency of this
