1st paragraph (Introduction)

 Start with some interesting phrases / sentences.

Feeling out of sort? Exams are over and the holidays are here. What

you going to do with so much free time? I am sure most of you would

contemplate (think about) long and lazy days sleeping in, lazing in front

of the television or going window-shopping. Seriously, how many days

can you sleep on? How many programmes can you watch? How many

windows can you browse (look) through at shopping malls before

admitting that there must be more to your holidays?

2nd paragraph (content)
 Start with giving some suggestions then continue with the first point.

Let me suggest a few ways you can spend your time during the

holidays. Camping is one activity that can be carried out in groups.

Friends make great camping buddies (companions / mates).

Roughing it out in the jungle while appreciating (enjoying) what

nature has got to offer is a good way to spend the holidays.

3rd paragraph
 Start with a connector then continue with the second point.

Besides that, you can gather a group of you friends and organise a
visit to an old folks’ home, orphanage or any similar homes nearby as
it would help you to appreciate (cherish / value) the families you
have. You will be surprised to see how the less fortunate of our
society will welcome us with open arms, not only for the gifts you
would most probably bring along but for company of the young
people that people of these home, especially the senior citizens, long
to spend time with.
4th paragraph
 Start with a connector then continue with the third point.

Furthermore, closer to home, there must be many household

chores just waiting for a young and energetic spirit to take on. There
is the floor to be swept or the long awaited clean-up of the store or
the fading walls of the garage which needs to be painted again or
simply the family car that needs washing. Such are the simple
services you can offer to your parents who have done so much for
you.
5th paragraph (Closing)
 Summarize your paragraph and encourage them to take action.

The activities mentioned above are only the tip of the iceberg.
The possibilities are endless to what a teenager can do during the
holidays. Be creative, think big or think small, the main thing is to
remember that whatever activity you set to do, do it well and you
may just find yourself enjoying it even more.
