Anatomy 101

The Human body
• The Adult Human body has 206 bones!
The Bones
• The top of your head is called the cranium or
the Skull!
• The top of your mouth is called the maxillae
and the bottom of your jaw is called the
mandible.
Upper body Bones
• There are many bones in your upper body.
• Right by your neck, there is the clavicle
• In the middle of your chest you can feel your
sternum!
The bones of your arm
• The biggest bone in your arm is the humerus.
• Then you have two smaller bones by your
wrist
• Ulna and Radius
• Easy way to remember is Ulna is Pinkie side
and Radius is thumb side.
• Then your fingers are called the phalanges!
The Bones of your low leg
• The largest bone in your body is located in
your leg, its name is the femur
• Then you have your Tibia and Fibula, the Tibia
is bigger than your Fibula.
• Then you have three sets of Bones in your
feet, the tarsals, metatarsals, and phalanges.
Teeth
• Everybody has to sets of teeth, your baby
teeth or deciduous, and your adult teeth or
permanent teeth.
• Baby teeth start to come in when you are 6
months old. You start to lose your baby teeth
when you are 6 or 7 years old.
• The number of teeth you will have is 32
