Subject/ Interest Group An Innovation project on how to persuade the Senior High School Students to love and acquire English Communication Skill in the most fun and exciting way. Breakthrough Goal (Pinaka importanteng Practice) Tomotivate students to acquire and utilize English Communication Skills which will help them for their future career. CoPers DHNS ENGLISH FACULTY MEMBERS; SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR AND STAFF WHY? (Background or baseline) English Communication Skills is one of the core competencies of the 21st Century Learners. This is the skill that they need to acquire to choose the right path in their future career. We teachers, must do something about it. However, the students of Del Gallego National High School are having a hard time acquiring the said skills because of some factors: Lack of Self Confidence; Afraid to be criticized by others; Cultural issues; Having the issue of Speaking English is Anti-Filipino. And others. WHAT? (Program/Intervention and Objective) English Faculty Members; School Administration and Staff HOW? (Process, Methodology, Strategy) The English teachers will conduct English Proficiency session every Friday 3:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon. The topics to be presented are: The importance of English Communication Skills; Functional English; Communication; Skills; Drills on how to build Self–Confidence to Acquire and utilize religiously the English language. In which the students as well as the faculty members must utilize English as the medium of communication. WHEN? (Schedules, time, etc.) Thisactivity will be done every Friday 3:00 4:00 in the afternoon. Second Semester “We speak English not to impress, but to express” for Listening!
