INTRODUCTION
Electrical Power is the rate at which electrical energy is converted to
another form.
Gravity or Gravitation is a natural phenomenon by which all things
with mass or energy (including Planets, Stars, Galaxies) are brought
towards one another.
 Newton’s law of universal gravitation states that every particle
attracts every other particle in the universe with a force which is
directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely
proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.

F=

Where, F is Gravitational force
m1 and m2 are masses of the objects
r is the distance between the centres of their masses
G is Gravitational constant, G= 9.815N/m2
Gravity light is an innovative device that generates light from gravity.
 In recent times due to effects of pollution and global warming there is a
need for generating power from renewable sources.
 Even today, after advancement of science and
technology, more than 1billion people do not
have access even to basic electricity. That is
almost 1 among every 5 people. These people
use harmful resources like kerosene to light their
homes.
 Gravity being one of the fundamental forces of
nature is available everywhere across the earth.
 Currently it is dream to meet all Energy requirements
of the world. But when we have a light that gives
free, clean energy at least the basic requirement
of millions of people will be fulfilled.
LITERATURE REVIEW
About a thousand years after Aryabhat, the brilliant combination of
Tycho Brahe [1546-1601] and Johanaase Kepler [1571-1630] studied
the planetary motion in great detail.
In the year 1665, Sir Issac Newton had discovered the phenomenon of
gravity near 400 years ago.
The force that pulls objects toward center of the earth was found out
and proved, to be named as, Gravitational force.
Chun-chao Wang and Yuh-suiang Wang has successfully invent the
concept of gravity power generation mechanism.
Convert the gravity potential energy into the kinetic energy and then
to convert the kinetic energy into electrical energy, so as to perform a
long time, effective and stable energy output.
The primary objective of his invention is to provide gravity power
generation mechanism which can provide a continuous and stable
operation to continuously.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
 When an object is placed on a higher level due to gravitational force it
experiences a downward pull and gains kinetic energy, which is then
utilized in a precised manner to transfer into electrical energy using motor.

COMPONENTS
• Falling mass
• Chain
• Bicycle wheel
• Sprockets
• Belts
• Synchronous motor
• LED bulb
• Pulley
The device is designed in such a way that when a weight is applied to an end
of the larger wheel (bicycle wheel) due to the gravitational force the belt will
start to move.
This movement due to gravity will result in the motion (rotational motion) of
the larger wheel. Thus the belt will transmit this rotation onto a smaller
pulley, which has the synchronous motor fitted to it.
The rotation of the synchronous motor will ultimately cause the LED to
light.
This synchronous motor rotates with a low circular velocity (of order 3.5-5
rpm). Now the weight slowly gets displaced towards the ground.
The small wheel is turning slowly while the outer edge of the bicycle wheel
is turning fast enough to ensure that the LED is continuously emitting light.

Synchronous Motor is an electric motor having a speed exactly

proportional to the current frequency.
Synchronous Motor's functioning
The shaft of the motor is turned manually, the motor acts like a generator
and will produce power. A number of gears are inside this motor. This
causes the slow turning of the shaft to result in the magnets turning very
fast, and producing sufficient power.
Therefore, it is beneficial to the wheel system and the motor that this
conversion from slow to fast occurs.
