Kaleth Miguel Morales Troya, popularly known as

Kaleth Morales, was a Colombian singer and


composer of Vallenato music, he was also called "The
King of the New Wave", for being one of the youngest
vallenato performers to have musical success.
He was born in Valledupar on June 9, 1984, and was
the son of Miguel Morales and Nevis Troya. From an
early age he was interested in music, wanting to
follow in the footsteps of his father, who was a
member of the Los Diablo's vallenata group with Omar
Geles.
At age 12, he asked his father to take him to a
recording, so they recorded together the song entitled
"Your way of loving."
In 1997 his father gave him a guitar, with which he made his
first composition entitled "I have only stayed", however, he
did not give it to any artist to record it, because he needed
to polish the lyrics and melody.
Los Diablitos recorded Kaleth his first composition titled
Crossed Boyfriends, then the group Los Gigantes del
Vallenato recorded the song "No seré tu clown".
Then his father recorded the songs My spoiled Queen and
Love Story.
Kaleth Morales graduated from school sooner than
expected, so he immediately entered to study medicine at
the Universidad del Sinú in Cartagena, where he completed
his studies; the singer alternated his studies with music.
He made several compositions, among which stood out:
"Without having defenses and Can not stand"; "Everything in
the head" and "I play it all" in the voice of Silvestre
Dangond, who was in charge of recommending him with
other Vallenatos artists, to give him the opportunity to
throw himself into stardom.
In 2004 Kaleth Morales recorded the song entitled "Vivo en el
Limbo", which was a total success and made the singer become
the most important artist of the new wave of vallenato.
The song was born from the inspiration of Kaleth when he lived
Cartagena and fell in love with a young girl named "Mary", to whom
he dedicated several of his songs.
The song quickly positioned itself in the first positions of the
national musical lists, and getting it to be heard also in stations of
juvenile court where vallenato was rarely heard as Los 40
Principales and La Mega.
After the success of "Vivo en el Limbo", he recorded his album "La
hora de la verdad" with JuanK Ricardo and with the production of
the Sony BMG Music Entertainment label.
Thanks to that song, he was named singer and revelation
composer, and in the month of April of the year 2005 the magazine
TV & Novels chose him as the artist in charge of the musical show
of the delivery of the awards of the magazine.
In addition, he made presentations at the Festival of the Vallenata
Legend, the Flower Fair of Medellin and San José del Guaviare.
His last performance was in Bogotá at the Nuestra Tierra concert
on La Mega radio station.
Kaleth Morales died on August 24, 2005, due to a traffic accident
on the road that connects Cartagena with Valledupar.
