Introduction
In this assignment i will be comparing two different websites one being vh1 the other being manchester united football club. i
will be comparing the different features such as page layout, usability, presentation and accessibility. I will also be looking at
each site’s weaknesses and strengths and then completing a conclusion on which site i prefer best and why
Intended use of mtv.com
The purpose of this site is to allow people to see the latest TV program, music and
celebrity related news, its target audience is young to middle age people but mostly to
older teens as it is news that is more relevant to that age group.

The first page also shows extracts about different topics such as TV shows and
celebrity news.

It is created in a way that is easy to read by using images that give a vague idea of the
topic as well as using large bold text in the bottom corner of the image with the name of
the topic and a smaller bold text underneath with a enticing phrase that makes the user
of the website want to read into the topic more.

the website also gives people a view at the most viewed videos the website also allows
you to watch live TV with its inbuilt video casting system.
Intended use of manutd.com
The purpose of this site is to allow people to see the latest
results and transfers news as well as allowing the users to view
highlight videos of the matches played and press conferences
and news related to coming up matches and stadiums.
The site also allows you to shop for the clubs merchandise
using the shopping part of the home page
The site is laid out in a manner that is slightly confusing to a non
supporter of football but is still able to be used as it is not too
cluttered with images and text, The only downside of the page is
that it is very long and in some places it doesn't give you enough
information to entice a user into viewing the topic such as the
videos button it has a picture but doesn't have any thumbnails to
entice users to view the content.
The website's target audience is young to middle age
Manchester united supporters however other users will be able
to understand and follow along with the website

The website’s interface is easy to use as it is very basic.and it has limited drop down menus which makes the
website easier to use.

there isn't any blogs or user created content because the content of the page is news about tv programs,
music and celebrities
