 Instroduccion
× En un mundo hostil para unos y placentero para otros, toda persona es
cautiva de la eficacia del sistema inmunológico, el cual debe ser capaz
de distinguir lo propio de lo extraño, y aun dentro de aquello que
resulta extraño, lo potencialmente dañino de lo inocuo. Es decir, debe
reconocer y eliminar los agentes nocivos (microorganismos, células
cancerosas) y no responder contra lo propio, o a los antígenos
ambientales inocuos (tolerancia).
× El sistema inmunológico se divide en dos grandes ramas: el innato y el
adquirido. Las células activadas del sistema inmunológico innato
producen moléculas diversas, con lo cual promueven la emigración y
activación de más células del sistema inmunológico presentes en la
sangre que son la base de la respuesta inflamatoria .En caso de que los
agentes extraños no puedan ser eliminados, entra en acción el sistema
inmune adquirido que, a su vez, se divide en inmunidad celular y
humoral representada por los linfocitos T y B, respectivamente. 2
 Sistema Inmune
El sistema inmunológico es la defensa natural del cuerpo contra las
infecciones. Por medio de una serie de pasos, su cuerpo combate y destruye
organismos infecciosos invasores antes de que causen daño. Cuando su
sistema inmunológico está funcionando adecuadamente, le protege de
infecciones que le causan enfermedad.

agentes antibacterianos.Las secreciones de
la vagina sirven como barreras químicas en
la menarquia, cuando se vuelven ligeramente ácidas,
mientras que el semen contiene defensinas y zinc para
matar patógenos.3En el estómago, el ácido gástrico y
las peptidasas actúan como poderosas defensas
químicas frente a patógenos ingeridos.
