Target Audience

• Faculty members who are:


1. currently taking master’s degree/Ph.D. who will
soon write their thesis/dissertation; and
2. interested in conducting researches.
Overview of the Course
This course aims to teach the practice and art of survey research. Learn about
the methods of data collection, sampling, question writing, questionnaire
design, issues of response rates, preparation of data for analysis, review the
standard methods that are used to analyze survey data, beginning with simple
methods, such as frequency and percentage distributions, weighted means,
verbal interpretations, cross-tabulations, and moving toward the advanced
topics such as t-test, analysis of variance, correlations, and regression.

• Overview of SPSS
• Univariate analysis and graphical presentation: Frequency distributions &
means
• Data management: Variable creation and transformation
• Bivariate analysis: Crosstabulations, Chi-square test, ANOVA, t-test,
correlations
• Regression analysis
