Window display is the fine art of displaying store merchandise in the store window.
Window display is emerging as the new mantra in retail and is fast changing from a
dull, uninteresting exhibition of wares in the store window to a dynamic form of
advertising. . Developed countries look at window display as a critical tool of
marketing; however, in India, it is still an emerging concept.
• Retailers need an effective window display in order to drive traffic into their stores. It's a unique form of
advertising which defines a store and gives the consumer an idea of what the brand is all about.
• They are an effective form of merchandising and often creative and different types of window displays
create talking points amongst consumers and other retailers.
• Creativity plays a very important role in window dressing, but at the same time, business acumen is also
required in order to make it effective. The window display should be designed in a way that attracts
customers, rather than looking like a piece of art.
• The window display designer should design the window in the best way possible within the budget fixed for
the same by the retailer.

Findings of the Study
• It was identified that Window Display Advertising is one of the effective strategies of marketing in
attracting customers on a large base at H & M store.
• It is through display of Mannequins that differentiates its products from one company to another and
thereby sets its own identity.
• It was identified that transparency, attractive colours and designs, choice of clothing to be displayed of
the apparels couture is what increases its promotional activities.
• It was identified the brand awareness among the customers and attracting them to buy H&M products.

CONCLUSION
• Today, Window Display Advertising has been a booming marketing
strategy where every company has received effective results not
only in H&M apparels store but also in every company we come
across since it has been an effective way to draw in customers.
