Ornamental fishes are colourfull,beautifull and attractive.They are
called living jawels due to their beautifull coloration,peaceful nature
and joyfull to maintion as part in aquarium at home and in garden
pools for the purpose of hobby and enjoying ther beauty.
1.Keeping ornamental fish as a hobe gives limit less pleasure to the young and
also to the old innespective of status.
2.It relaxes our mind when we feel tired on depressed due to problems or
difficulties.
3.The hobe can avoid and decrease blood presure and also can extend the
longibity of humen beings.
4.Children would acquire new knowledge and skills.for example by watching the
fish and admining its behaviour children can develop interest in biology and
nature.
5.It develops a sense of attachment with nature and reponsibility to wards the
welfare of other living being wich is a good quilty in the learning process of
chieldren
6.The hobby of keeping ornamental fishes can be scaled up as a source of self
employment by taking various types of ancillary activities such as culture of
ormamental fishes breeding,export,supply of accesory apparatus that is
filter,aerators plants,feed etc.like which it can also be used as a source of income
genaration by rendering services by keeping and mainting aquarium at
hotels,airpots,parks and similer public places.
 Aquarium is an artificial living system for the fashianable fish
culture which is commonly four walled encloser,where fishes are
exhibited mostly for happy viewing and recreation by
introducing aquatic planta ,rocks,gravels,artificial decoration
items etc and maintaining physic-chemical and biologycal
parameters.There In with the aid of equipment controlling
aeration water movement,temparature suspended organic
matter,illumination besides feeding.
The fishing which are nicely and breliantly coloured to look at
or having experemantal behavipor and suitable to kept in a tank
called Aquarium
1.shape:- The shape of ornamental fish tank commonly is
rectengular.The shape can easly maintined.
2.sized:-generally home aquarium is constracted on the basic of
rectengular shape.

Keep thermocol on the surface

Place the bottom glass on the thermocoal

Apply athick string of sillicon gel along the edge of back surface.

Raise back panel

Apply gel in the two side edges of bottom glass panel and also
fixed back glass

Smootnen the gel with fingure
|
Leave the tank for a day
|
Check aquarium by pouring wather form any leak
1.Chosing a loaction:-the tank should be set up in an attractive and
conveninent place which should be free from direct sunlight.aquarium
can be set up in home ,hospital ,resturants,hotelsand other public
place places in home it is fitteedv in sevral ways.

2.Built into a bookcase
3.put in study room
The aquarium should stant on a very firmbase in order to avoid jerking
and toppling.
2.Setting up of an aquarium:-setting up of an aquarium is otherwise
called aqua scaping aquascaping of an aquarium has two purposes --
1.To make the baretank more attractive for the viewar.
2.To stimulate natural enviroment by keeping aquatic plants
,rocks,gravels etc.
Selection of aquarium species depent upon following consideration :--
1.Size should be 40-160mm large size create problem on management .
2.Dense an eqvolly distributed coloured fish should be used .
3.Social behavior ed fishes are used.
4.Large and decerative fined fishes are used.
5.Peculior characteriestics may be morphogical or behavior al fisheds should
be used.
6.Avoid female live bearer fishes beacause this fisher are breed frequenty.
7.Absence of any parts like barbels,spines etc are nagetive for selection.
9.fishes should be free from disease.
10.Ability to lerate wide range of water parametter fluctution.
11.Fighter fish should be avoided.
A.Oviparty:-producing young from eggs relesed from the body.
Eaample- angel,gold fish etc.
B.viviparity:-the mother is birth to live young once which are nurised by the
former.

mother itself but not nourised by eat.

1.Hand net:- Hand nets are primarily used to handle the fishes
with out during water exchange or disease dianosis or other
treatment.fine meashed soft silk cloth net of 10cm length 30cm
long and 15 cm width are preffarbly used
2.Hood and light:- A decorative hood or lid to cover the tank
surface will prevent direct falling of dust and rumping out of
fish of the tank .aquarium tubelight fixed inside the hood and
will adipuuetly illuminat the tank
3.Suction tube|siphon tube:-a suction tube is used for remove
the fecal meter left over feed and plant debris from the
aquarium floore as well as for felling water in to the tank.It is
made of plastic or rubber tube.
4.Scrapper toll:-A scrapper toll is used to scrapt the algae from
the inner glass wall of the tank.the plastic or blade end will help
scrapping the deposited algae.
5.Plastic or metal fork:- A plastic or metal fork with help to fixed the aquatic plant
without demaging their root system.
6.Aerators:-an aerators and connection tube with control valvs world be use full in
aerating the aquarium water.
7.Filter:-Filter are used to remove unwanted matter like smaller and large particles
suspended in the water and keep the ph and hardness of the water.various types of
filters used in aquarium.

8.Heater:-all the metabolic and physiological activities and the life process of fishes are
influence by temparature.so it should be properly controll.
