 Repairing to the Silo Structure :
Repairing to the silo structure was carried out by using various
techniques:
― Cracks in the Silo Wall & Slab were repaired by injection
grouting with cementitious material or low viscous epoxy

― Spalled portion of cover concrete was repaired using high

strength Polymer Modified Cement Mortar after application
of suitable bonding agent where thickness of repair was
under 50 mm

― For more than 50 mm thickness, spalled portion was

repaired by jacketing using free flow, high strength micro
concrete.
 Repairing to the Silo Structure :
Repairing to the silo structure can be carried out by using
various techniques:

―Before taking out repair of spalled concrete, reinforcement

steel shall be restored.
― Reinforcement steel shall be cleaned from any rust
manually or mechanically and by application of alkaline rust
remover.
―Further the steel be protected by application of zinc rich
epoxy primer
― if bar diameter is reduced by more than 20%, additional
steel shall be provided by anchoring, welding or any other
suitable method.
 Repairing to the Silo Structure :
Repairing to the silo structure can be carried out by using
various techniques:

―Slab shall be repaired using Polymer modified cement

mortar.

― Waterproofing of the top slab can be carried out after

necessary surface preparation.

―After repairing of the structure, entire silo structure shall

be protected with application of suitable protective coating.
