Creating a Detail Library
• Saved Drafting Views
– Create drafting views for details
– Save views as new files
• Files can be organized by detail type or
scale
• Each file can contain a drafting view for
each detail

– Insert views as needed into your projects

Inserting Details from Library
• Insert 2D Elements
– Linework and annotation within a view can
be inserted into current project view
• Good for putting details directly on sheets
• Good for adding details to current detail view

– Bring a drafting view from a detail file
directly into your project

Model Detail Views
• Plan View Callouts
– Highlight an area in the model that
references a detail
• Useful for enlarged plans
• Detailing tools can be used to provide
more information
• Detail views that show no model
components can be referenced
