Re-Design & Rehabilitation
 Several options are available to allow you to fit new
designs onto existing pavements for rehabilitation,
reconstruction or re-alignment purposes
 Two methods are using
 Tabular
 Template
Requirements
 Requires at least two models
 Existing surface containing surveyed strings, contours or
mixture or triangulation
 Design surface
 Minimum requirement- Master string with out null levels

 Pavement edges must be designed for new works

 Existing pavement edges( Tabular method only)

 Required if pavement is to be fit to the existing surface

 May be same model as the existing surface

 Design Surface may be designed in any MX product.

Final Drawings Manager
 This option is used to produce final drawings from
design drawings in a rapid and efficient manner.
 Can create layouts for plans, profiles, cross sections
and composites.
 Any changes made to the Design drawings,
automatically reflects in the final drawings.

 Generate Create cross section trough DESIGN

 Store the sections to XSECTION.
 Select Additional model Triangular surface
 Display sections
 Annotate all the sections with Tutorial cross
section.mxtip
 Save the settings to DESIGN MC00.

 Save the PSU and exit
 Layout the pages along the string MC00
 Horizontal scale 1:500 with overlap of 20m
 Review the chainage table
 Save the layout file- DESIGN PLAN PROFILE MC00.apl

 Publish drawings from saved layout file

 Select the layout profile for the plan profile of MC00
