What is Scrum

 Scrum is an approach to managing complicated projects that may have


to adapt to changes in scope or requirements.
 It is one of the common approaches to Agile Project Management

What is Scrum Not

 SCRUM is not about project management, it is product-oriented


 SCRUM is not only for software development.
 SCRUM does not mean having unclear requirements
Brief Timeline of Scrum History

 1990s: Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland, separately, used similar
approaches in their companies.
 1995: Schwaber and Sutherland presented a paper at the Business Object
Design.
 2009: After co-founding, and leaving, the Scrum Alliance, Schwaber
founded Scrum.org
 2010: The Scrum Guide is created by Schwaber and Mike Beedle change

 The sprint-planning meeting is held on the first day of every sprint.

 The team determines tasks needed to complete them

The Daily Scrum

 The team will have their daily scrum meeting at the task board for the

 what they did yesterday,
 what they plan to do today, and
 what obstacles they are grappling with
Sprint Review

 At the end of the sprint, the team invites stakeholders to a sprint review
meeting
 The Product Owner keeps track of the feedback
 Puts it back into product backlog
Sprint Retrospective

 Retrospective to determine the following internally:


 What they did well that they wish to continue doing
 What they struggled with
 What recommendations they have for change going forward
