The company deals with sustainable construction and green buildings. • My role in the internship varied from performing individual tasks to group tasks. Initially I worked with other interns to make an online presence of the company. Then I individually focused on expanding the online community. My next job was to handle the mailing account of the company. Then I was engaged with various social networking sites for promotion of the company. Objectives The main objective to conduct this internship is to understand the sustainable construction market and its scope in the future development and how can we promote it on social media platforms. • To study and understand the concept and process of digital marketing and Search Engine Optimization • To understand and get the concept of Sustainable Construction • To get the practical implication of the process involved in Digital Media Marketing Scope of the study • The project scope involves the study of green buildings. Understand the sustainable construction, EEC (Energy Efficiency Code), their mechanism and their place in development. The project scope also involves the findings of green buildings in current construction industry. Work Done and Learned at Econaur (Methodology) Generating Community Leads • My first job was to generate community leads to expand the community. This included various tasks, which are • To analyze the presence of possible community members around the globe. I shortlisted various institutions like architectural schools, construction companies, architectural companies, etc. I made a database with their names, address, contact person, contact number, email, etc. • To check their availability and interest in sustainable construction by contacting them over phone. Preparing Promotional Material • This included various tasks, which are • Making a video which introduces us and our company • Making posters which targeted various aspects of sustainable construction • Making mailer to send to our community members • Making a list of various questions, which our new community members may have. In addition, preparing their answers as well. Social Promotion
• I handled the Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and
LinkedIn accounts of the company. During my tenure I added new photos and videos to the social media platforms • We invited our community members to write a review about our company on the Facebook page. • We worked towards increasing the number of likes on the company’s page Creating Database of Various Organization • We contacted almost every reputed architectural college and construction companies in India to get their contact information. • We contacted various product companies to be a part or our company. • We made database of these contact details using MS Excel Running Campaigns over email and social media • To grab the attention of new users we ran various campaigns over the mails and social media. • The campaigns aimed to retain the community members and to promote green buildings Back linking of the website
• Back linking is a way to get a better rank on
search engines by dropping the website’s link on other websites. • I dropped the link of the company’s website over various different websites to create a high rank over the search engines Learnings
• At Econaur I learned a lot about the practical
implications of digital marketing and the importance of social media for promoting new brands. On page SEO
• On page SEO is a way for the company’s website
to grow in search engines results. • On page SEO includes three main parts: Title of the page, Description of the page and the URL. Keywords Planning
• Keywords Planning refers to identifying the
keywords, which can be used by the users to relate with the company while searching on the search engine. Recommendation
I would like to propose some changes for the
current business process and business model, which may help the company growing forward if, implemented. My recommendations are based on my experience of working with Econaur Build Solutions. Website • Currently a lot of information is being displayed on the homepage of the company. A simple page with less photographs would also suffice • More navigation links needed for the website • No testimonials on the home page • A little more information about the company in the about us tab • A mobile app should be developed for easier access to the community offered by the company. • Keywords related to the company and its websites can be incorporated within the website for better result in the search engines. Business • Hiring of more full time employees who will be responsible for business development • There are some Facebook pages, which are followed by many Facebook users in India. Some of the example would be Satyamev Jayate, The Logical Indian, The Back Benchers, The Viral Fever, Being Indian, etc. they can be contacted for promotion of sustainable buildings and the company • The company may try to collaborate with more manufacturing companies. Conclusion I would like to conclude my report by saying that Entrepreneurship is the future of India. Few brave people, who had started Econaur Build Solution, have shown me the pathway to start a new company. Because I had joined Econaur Build Solution, I found my motivation and inspiration to be an Entrepreneur in future. During the internship, I learned more than I could ever learn from textbooks. At least I can say that I have truly felt what a startup is and how difficult it can get initially to put things together and keep the show running.
