 A. The Rapire Jacquard Looms has been Recently

installed in our Business where I think I could try
using these Innovation Instincts in coming one
month. It is wholly a different segment where we
generally manufacture sarees with different yarn and
Jari with different Designs.
 Q. Realise your highest innovation instinct and create a team

 As we have newly installed Rapire Jacquard

Machines Looms there is a huge Investment to be
Made in Machine + the Beam to be installed of the
Yarn to be Used for producing Clothe as it involves
5000 mtr of yarn so we have to forecast the demand
of the particular Quality of Cloth For the next 2
months to actually Decide the Yarn to Be used in the
Beam to produce the Cloth

 The Top 3 Solutions Decided by us are:
1. As the Market is Slow and there is no particular
Demand we can make a quality of Product which
generally run in season and stock it up
2. Purchase a machine of Single Hook where we can
make samples before pouring beam so that
demand can be forecasted by Sample Promoting.
3. Or to Shutdown Few Machines and Work on Few
Machines with Continuous Change In Designs
Without Pilling up of Stock and Only Fullfilling
Current Demand.

 Idea that has been choosen is No. 1 & 2 Mix

i.e. as Machine takes time for Production which at
the time of season cannot be fulfilled so continuly
produce items depending upon certain Qty and then
change the Design in the same Quality
 Also Purchase a Single Hook Machine On Which a
Sample Can be made of Different New Innovative
Dersign And Later After Marketing Can be
Produced with the new Taste.

Problem is to Forecast the Quality Of The Season , The Amount
or the Qty to be Produced in each quality, The hit Designs
which would be running etc.
Solution in brief (2-3 sentences)
 To pile up Certain amount of minimum Qty that can be Easily
Saleable in Each Design and Qty
 To Buy Single Hooked Machine which will allow us to make
samples and no need to fill large amount of Beams without
Order
 Also To Continuously Market the Product with Market
Forecasting in Different states
What is something basic about your
business that you are changing?
The Basic which I m changing is The New Type of
Range of Products which has demand in the Market but
no one has a well established Process of Doing it
Propely that is the Process of Manufacturing.
What is something you have questioned
that your business had previously not
thought of?
I have questioned about the JIT system which the
company has not thought of in purchasing Beam of
Yarn as it has leaded to ontime delivery of Beam also I
asked to underutilize the beam for certain time as it
would not involve Investment and lead to appropriate
cashflows and no excess stock.
What ideas have you taken from different places
to apply to your business?
The idea taken of single hook machine has been taken from
normal power loom machines of the same industry and idea
for JIT has been taken from Automobile Part Industry
leading to save of Investment cost and time.
What are you doing to ensure your customer
has a pleasant experience?
To provide them with better Quality and Continuous
Innovative Design so as to gain First Movers Advantage with
On time Season Delivery so that they Can earn high margins
What are the different things that you have tried
or will try to improve the idea along the way?
We have tried to change the beam size also we have tried to
restrict the qty but the size is not adjustable on machine if
Reduced , now we are thinking to try Using Double beams
together which will lead to Automatic Change of Yarn

come about while attempting to implement your
idea?
Well as the persons are of different oipinion, so at very first while
implementing it is to be seen that everyone are on the same page
and conflicts occur to decide which quality yarn to be taken and
used on bean, also to set the qty
Also to check the feasibility of taking machine according to the
space need and Investment cost
Also to Forecast the Needs of the market on the basis of which
We can produce the Quality so we have to check the availability of
the Yarn and price of the yarn also the Productivity per day
depending upon the pick of the clothe
 Who is playing the role of the Enabler? How
did you choose this person to play this role?

 My father is mainly playing the role of Enabler still.

He is from very start is the person to play the role of
Enabler
 Slowly with Gradual point of time the role of Enabler
would be me as I m still in learning process.
 He is the Expertise in this Field with whole
Production Knowledge and thye Great market
Forecaster.
What were your learnings from this project?

 Key Learnings are:

 With Different Mindset people how to deal with
those people and how to consider everyones
innovative instincts
 Also it helped me to identify my weaklings and my
Strong Points together with able to know kind of
instincts of different kinds of people
