Account Opening Status Code:
 SA product variants are identified by a unique Status Code. E.g. Regular SA :
GAA10, Titanium Privilege SA: HHN3
 Correct Status Code should be entered while sourcing so that the customer
gets the correct product and its associated benefits
Mandate Holder/ POA:
 An individual holding savings bank account can give power of attorney (POA) or
mandate allowing them to operate the bank account
 POA or Mandate holder cannot open the account on behalf of customer
Savings Account Features &
Terminology
Foreign Exchange:

 Any currency other than the local currency used in settling


international transactions.
 A system of trading in and converting the currency of one country
into that of another
Inward & Outward Remittance:
 Inward remittances mean receipt of funds acquired either locally or
from offshore locations (or accounts)
 Outward remittances refer to funds that are transferred to
recipient(s) located within the country or internationally
Savings Account: Nominations

 Nominate a family member as beneficiary of the account


 One nomination per savings account
 Customer must be advised to add nomination on account
opening, in the following available options:
 Single Mode of Operation: In case of death of the account
holder, the proceeds shall be paid to the nominee
 Joint Holders: In case any of joint account holder dies, the
account can not be further operated and the proceeds shall be
payable to the surviving account holder
Savings Account: Joint Holders
 Jointly or Survivor: During the life time of the joint account holders, the
cheque would have to be signed by both the Joint account holders. If one of
the account holder dies, the other can individually operate the account or
transfer the proceeds to his own other bank account
 Either or Survivor: In case of death of any of the account holders, the
surviving account holder can either continue to operate the account or take
the proceeds into his own bank account. In Anyone or Survivor if any of the
account holder dies, the right lies with the surviving account holders (but
jointly)
 Former or Survivor: This account is opened jointly between more than one
account holders. Till the primary account holder is alive, the right to operate
the account vests with him and after his death, the right vests with the
surviving account holders

Please note :
• Investment Risk Profiling is mandatory before pitching ITSA
MF SIP.
• MF SIP ELSS for ITSA is only offered to New Resident
Savings Bank account customers where the mode of
operation is ‘Single’.
• PAN no is mandatory for ITSA
• Account holder should not be minor
• The MF SIP Start date will be within 15 days from Account
Opening
ITSA : Important Terms and conditions
Following Terms and condition to be clearly explained to customer:

• If the customer defaults on making payment for any of the


mandatory attachment for ITSA (Household), then account will be
auto converted into standard Silver Savings account/ Gold
Privilege Savings Account where customer has to maintain the
required MAB of Rs 25,000/- (for Silver Savings Account) and Rs
50,000 (for Gold Privilege Savings Account).

• For ITSA (HH), SI will be set for minimum period of 2 years and
post completion of 2 years if customer wish to enjoy tax benefit as
well as ZERO MAB benefit then customer has to give consent for
SI setup for another 2 years to continue the same.
