Hospital Chiquinquira

Hospital Chiquinquira was known like Hospitalito opened its doors in

January 1 1865, was Maracaibo`s first hospital properly said
• Chiquinquira Hospital was where the first sign for the creation of a
Shool of Medicine was generated, it was the place where this chair
was taught for the first time, and is currently the reference hospital in
the toxicological área in Zulia.
• The last one the hospital was inaugurated like Chinquinquira Hospital
in 1885 by the Dr Manuel Dagnino who along with a group of people
bought a hause, and later gathered some 300 families to make a raffle
and with the money collected he bought the land where the hospital
operates today .
