 Introduction

Knitting is a method by which thread or yarn may be turned

into cloth or other fine crafts. Knitting consists of consecutive
loops, called stitches. As each row progresses, a new loop is
pulled through an existing loop. The active stitches are held on
a needle until another loop can be passed through them. This
process eventually results in a final product, often a garment.

 Draw the beard needle describe parts details are given blow:

1.stem:-around which the needle loop is formed

2.head:-where the stem turned into hook to grasp new loop through the old loop .
3.beard:the beard which curved down ward to separate the old loop from the new
loop.
4.eye :-the eye or groove ,cut is the stem to receive the pointed tips of the beard
when it is pressed.
5.shank:-the shank which may be best for individual location in the machine.

cam is the third primary knitting element –which covert rotary
motion into reciprocating motion .

 The needle loop

the simplest unit of knitted structure is loop it consist of arc or head and two
side.

1.top arc:-the upper curved position of a knitted loop is called top arc.
2.bottom arc: the lower curved position of a knitted loop is called bottom arc .
3.side limbs\wall:-the lateral part of a knitted loop of a knitted loop that cuncet
top arc to bottom arc is called side limbs \wall\arm.
 Sinker:
sinker is the second primary knitting element.
actually it is a metal thin plate with an individual
or collective action approximate at right angle
from the hook side between two adjoin needle.
