called, Hypertext Markup Language, better
known as HTML Code.
Introduction
HTML Codes
also referred to as HTML tags, are enclosed
by the lesser than (<) and greater than (>)
brackets and may be written in capital or
lower case letters.
Example:

HTMLcallit!!
Element
The opening bracket is followed by an
element, which is a browser command, and
ends with the closing bracket
Example:

HTMLcallit!!
Attributes
Are words describing the properties of the
element, and further instruct the browser.
Example:

element, and further instruct the browser.
The value follows the equal sign and is
enclosed in quotes
Example:

Attributes are only contained in the opening

separated by a space and followed by an equal
(=) sign.

the size of the text depends
on the number of heading.
HTML Headings
• The <p> tag defines a paragraph.
• Using this tag places a blank line above and
below the text of the paragraph.
• These automated blank lines are examples
of how a tag "marks" a paragraph and the
web browser automatically understands how
to display the paragraph text because of the
paragraph tag.
