administrative region in , as the Autonomous Province of
Kosovo and Metohija.

reduced to simple " " in the name of the Socialist
Autonomous Province of Kosovo, dut in  was renamed
dack to Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.

Since  declared independence, it is now also referred

6 6 is still the most common name used.
