Many researches have been carried out. Most of the
researches have proven that release of carbon dioxide
contribute a lot to global warming.
ANALYSIS OF DATA
a) Definition of GLOBAL WARMING
~the ten respondents manage to answer it very well
using their basic knowledge that they have
b) Preventive Measures to Overcome Global Warming

~ very common ways mentioned are carpooling, switching off


the lights, reduce usage of air-conditioner and campaigns
~ more eco-friendly habits: “reduce carbon footprint”
~plant more trees: “trees can remove 50 pounds of carbon from
air each year”
~all the respondents agreed that Malaysians are not playing
their role
c) Consequences of GLOBAL WARMING
~most well known consequences among the ten respondents
are:
 melting of icebergs

 Submerging of lowlands

 Spreading of infectious diseases

 Extinction of species

~Respondent 10 mentioned getting skin cancer and cataract


d) Role of the Government

~law enforcement
~Earth Hour as a national event
~campaigns and plant more trees
~Respondent 10: New policies and partnerships regarding the
reduction of carbon usage and the emissions should also be
established

~famous movies: 2012 and The Day After
Tomorrow
~50% have not watched
~2 of ten respondents have come across
documentaries ‘The 11th Hour’ and
‘Inconvenient Truth’

audience.

DISCUSSION
CONCLUSION
The purpose of the study was to determine the perspective of
Block F KTSN residents on the changing concerns of global
warming issues. The sample consisted of 10 undergraduates who
were randomly selected. Interviews were done with questions
created by ourselves to find out their awareness on this issue.
The findings from this study show that the level of knowledge and
awareness towards global warming issue among KTSN residents
are excellent. All of the undergraduates have general knowledge
and opinion on global warming issue and they have a positive
attitude towards this issue.
