ANALOG TO DIGITAL

CONVERSION

Analog to Digital Conversion
Converting Signal has 3 Everything is “Analog”
step:
That’s the turth….
 Sampling

 Quantizing, and;

 Coding
Basic Signal Concept
 Analog; continuous
wave, carrying
information by transform
wave characteristic.
 Digital; analog sampling,
represent by pulse code
(binary Digit) “0” and
“1”. Also Called Discrete
Signal
Analog Signal
 Two important character  Long distance
of Analog Signal; transmission.
Amplitude and  Easy to influence by
Frequency. noise.
Analog signal is represented  Sine wave has 3
by Sine Wave. variable; Amplitude
 Using Fourier Analysis to
(volt), Frequency (S) and
calculate the signal. Phase (°)
Analog Signal
 It is using by analog
component like
diode, transistor,
Op-Amp etc.
Digital Signal
 Only 2 conditions; “0”  Commonly, probability
and “1”, so its difficult value formed by n bit
to interfered by noise. combinations is 2n.
 Digital Signal is Sampled
 Short distance
from Analog and coded
transmition to binary or Hex digit.
 Bandwidth is the width
of the bit.
Advantageous of digital Signal
 Transmit the information  Can process in many
by high speed data rate numerous information
 Repeatedly using but not
change the data.  Interactive.
 Easy to process and
modified to various
form.
 To be continuous…

Pictures can also be presented more dramatically in widescreen.
Creating 16:9 Presentations
To setup a widescreen presentation,
do one of the following: Important: Always start with your slide size
 Start with this template. Simply delete set to the aspect ratio you intend to use. If
you change the slide size after you’ve created
the example slides and add your own some slides, your pictures and other graphics
content. will be resized. This could potentially distort
their appearance.
 Or, go to the Design tab and open the
Page Setup Dialog. Click the Slide
Size dropdown and pick On-screen
Show (16:9) (Note: we also support
16:10, which is a common widescreen
laptop resolution. )
Slide Show Tips
 To present in true widescreen, you’ll need a
computer and, optionally, a projector or flat
panel that can output widescreen resolutions.
 Common computer widescreen resolutions
are 1280 x 800 and 1440 x 900. (These are
16:10 aspect ratio, but will work well with
16:9 projectors and screens.)
 Standard high definition televisions
resolutions are1280 x 720 and 1920 x 1080.
 Use the Test Pattern on the next slide to
verify your slide show settings.
