› A Jammer is basically a device that is

used to jam communication systems.
›

is usually the deliberate

transmission of radio signals that
disrupt communications by decreasing
the signal to noise ratio.
› An AM Jammer jams the AM
communication system that ranges from
540 KHz to 1650 KHz.

› ^ 0V AC supply converted into 1^V dc by

a step down transformer and a bridge
rectifier.
› Each section is given its appropriate
voltage by using voltage regulator Ics.
› Triangular wave generator and VCO given
+5v Vcc by LM7805 IC .
› Power amplifier is given +9v Vcc by
LM7809 IC.
Ô§ §§ §

› It is the varying voltage source to the

input of VCO.
› It consists of a pulse generator followed
by an integrator.
› The pulse is generated by astable
multivibrator designed using IC LM555.
› An RC integrator is used to integrate the
pulse produced by the pulse generator to
produce the triangular wave.
§
› In this circuit ,the astable multivibrator is designed
for 1KHz.
› The frequency equation is :

f=1/T= 1.44/[(Ra1+^Rb1)*Ca1]

› DESIGN:

For f=1KHz,

Choose C = 0.1 NjF

So, R1 + ^R^ = 14400.

For R1 = 1K,

R^ = 14400/^000= 7.^K ~10K

Ô§
› A VCO is generally a oscillator whose frequency is controlled by
the voltage given at its input.
› Voltage Controlled Oscillator is implemented using an astable
multivibrator made using the IC LM555.
› The varying voltage is given to the astable multivibrator using
the triangular wave .
› Pin 5 is the 555's control voltage pin, which allows to directly
adjust the threshold voltages to which the pin ^/pin 6 input
voltages are compared by the 555's internal comparators.
› Since the outputs of these comparators control the internal flip-
flop that toggles the output of the 555, adjusting the pin 5
control voltage also adjusts the frequency at which the 555
toggles its output.
› Increasing the input voltage at pin 5 decreases the output
oscillation frequency while decreasing the input voltage increases
the output oscillation frequency.

me have,
f= 1MHz

Choose C=100pf

Then,

R1 + ^R^= 1.44/ (1MHz*100pf)

=14400

Choose R1=1K

Then, R^~10K
§ ÔÔ
› It is used to amplify the power of the signal outputted
through the Voltage Controlled Oscillator.
› Power amplification is accomplished using the transistor
^N^^^^.
› This is done in order to increase the area in which the AM
signal has to be jammed.
› The output of the VCO will not have enough power even
though it has an internal output amplifier in it.
› The amplified signal is transmitted through a wire antenna
› mhen the AM receiver receives the transmitted signal, then
the AM signal will be jammed over the area.
› The coverage area can be increased by the greater power
amplification done.
§Ô§Ô §

› AM jammer can be used in areas where
AM radio signals are to be jammed.
› AM jammer can be upgraded to make a
cell phone jammer.
› FM jammer is an improved version of AM
jammer.
 Ô
› me did this project ³AM JAMMER´ to show a
model of how a jammer can be made.
› me have successfully completed our mini project
which can jam the AM radio signals over an area.
› mhen the AM receiver receives the transmitted
signal of the AM jammer circuit, it gets jammed.
› This device can be used in areas where the AM
signals are to be jammed.
› The upgraded circuits of this project has many
wide applications and use in today¶s world.
