• The company, headquartered in California, was founded by Larry


Page and Sergey Brin, while the two attended Stanford University.

• It was first incorporated as a privately held company on


September 4, 1998,

as “the ethical behavior of a company towards
the society,” manifests itself in the form of
such noble programs initiated by for-profit
organizations.

needs and giving them the best products and services that we can.
• But it's also about doing the right thing more generally – following
the law, acting honorably and treating each other with respect.
• It's built around the recognition that everything they do in
connection with work at Google will be, and should be, measured
against the highest set the bar that high for practical as well as
aspirational reasons.
