 Katy's Kids exposes
kindergarten through
second grade children to
the benefits of medications
safety
 Medication is not candy
 This interactive program
uses a student pharmacist
dressed as a kangaroo kids
named Katy to teach
students the role of doctors
and pharmacists in safe
medication usage and to
drive home the message
that not all drugs are bad.
 Katy visits several local
Potential jobs for committee
members…..
1.        Scheduler (2 people)—contacting schools and setting up
presentation dates

2.       Photographer—attends the presentations and take pictures

3.       Supplies—make sure there are enough supplies to hand out to kids
after the presentation

4.       Fundraising—come up with fundraising ideas for new drug-ed


posters and distance student costume

5.       Trainers (2 people)—in charge of training people before their


presentations (people who have done a presentation before)
