quarter, in the health centre, the Gendarmerie and the CECJ.

- The cases of rape decreased considerably .

- Placing of public lamps in every quarter that diminish the
risks of violence against women and especially young girls .
- 94 wandering children went back to school .
- 02 clubs ( one in the public high school and one within an
association ) composed of volunteers and work for sensitization
and education on gender and GBV .
- Functioning of the CECJ for solving conjugal problems such as
conjugal violence , alcoholism , family expenses , paternal
irresponsibility …
- There is more security in the council .

• The integration of « Jeunes Paires Educateurs » and

the conviction of the persons sensitized in the
CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

execution of the action plan for the reduction of

GBV cases is a proof that our project is sustainable
• The help of local associations contribute greatly to the
execution of activities of campaigning about
violence against women. In that sense, we think
that our project can be replicated to other public or
private institutions.

 LESSONS LEARNED

• The question of equality of Rights between men and

women is neither an ideology nor an information to
CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

be conveyed, it is a reality. The fight for gender

equality is not women’s affairs but everyone’s.
However, women themselves should at first prove
conviction and initiative to demonstrate that they
have the ability to accomplish great things in the
field of development process.
