Introduction
Project will replace the manual register oriented
managing system by a highly automated, reliable,
secure, robust, efficient software that will manage the
manual library system.
Scope of the software will make it possible to create
and manage a centralized data base which will be
facilitated with all the required security measures, will
offer a systematic reviewing of Managing as well as
Controlling the Library work in no time as compared
to the existing prolong time consuming manual
methods.
All this will done by following the predefined
standard of some well known Regulatory Bodies like
IEEE so as to meet all of the requirements.
Objective and Overall Description
Product’s perspective will be a attempt to enhance
the working ability of the concern departments as
well as to overcome the limitations of the manual
work. The proposed software will design to operate on
the existing hardware without creating any conflicts
to existing hardware and other software.
It will provide a great deal of security via creating
Proper Authentications through group membership
rights assignment and a separate official accounts.
Will enable to take timely backups, also reviewing the
overall work at regular time intervals and so on.
Operating Environment: The software should operate in
the environment build up from the minimum of the
following Hardware specifications.
Server side:
RAM: 512 MB
Processer: Pentium IV and successors
OS: Windows 2003/Vista/Win7
Hard disk: 10 GB
Client side:
RAM: 64 MB
Processor: Pentium III and successors
OS: Windows XP and successors
Hard disk: 4 GB
Software specifications.

Front End: Visual studio 2002 and successors

Back End: Microsoft Access.

Programming Language: Visual Basic.Net

Microsoft Office (Excel sheet for records generation)

Requirement Analysis
 Functional or Specific Requirements
Required software is for conducting on-line library
records of students. The system should satisfy the
following requirements:

Administrator Aspect:-

1. Taking backup of the database.

2. Editing/Creating the database.
3. Edit/create profile.
4. Changing the super password.
5. Edit/create database of students.
6. Sending report to specific student by sms.

Student Aspect:-

1. Requesting registration
2. Logging into the system.
3. Edit student information.
4. Selecting the student profile.
5. Show the record of books
6. Reviewing the given responses.
7. Changing password.
External Interface Requirements
User Interfaces: The User will Interface with the
software through GUI, Virtual Guidelines, Screen
Displays which will be containing sample screen
images, screen layouts, standard button and so on.
Hardware Interfaces: The software wont require
and additional hardware rather it will efficiently share
them and faultlessly execute on the existing one.
Software Interfaces: The proposed software should
be installed easily, should run efficiently without any
sort of clashes with other existing software.
Other Non functional Requirements
Safety Requirements: The software should be able
to create timely check points of overall Data Status
that can be saved for using in the time of failure.
Security Requirements: The software will
incorporate number of Security measures such as
Account Authentication via ID’s and Passwords,
Appropriate Rights distribution among the Users
based on the membership group they are placed in.
Software Quality Attributes: It should have
attributes like easy to learn & use, reliable, portable,
expandable, reusable, flexible and so on.

Future Aspects
Scope of this project is very broad in terms of student
and sta both can take record of their information. Few
of them are:-
This can be used in educational institutions as well as
in corporateworld.
Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based
application(user location doesn't matter).
No restriction that sta has to be present when the
student see their database.
