When you are Biblical, you are Christological When you are Christological, you are truthful When you are truthful, you are ethical and critical of whatever is fallacious When you are truthful you will win in the battle of ideas
The verse above specifically states that when someone asks you a reason for your hope, you should do it with meekness and fear. y But when the atheist professor or classmate verbally attacks you, then you should respond in a critical way, with no resentments.

Christ confronted hypocrisy and sin head on. Whenever it was the case, He was very critical. One thing has to be mentioned, His criticism was directed against people who had knowledge of God. He did not confront the Roman authority. He was never involved in social unrest. He was kind to repenting sinners, not with all the sinners, as it is claimed by many American evangelicals.

(Romans 1:21-22)
The apostle Paul was very aware of the moral decay of the pagan world. Although he was a Jew, he was born in a Roman city, Tarsus, and had Roman citizenship. He was able to analyze and censure the sin of his era, and is able to do so in ours as well.
