Presented By: A Study Report On The Scope of Sunsheetal Heat Reflective ANCHAL paint in Dairy Market

Paint Industry in India

The Indian paint industry is an estimated Rs 110 bn sector. The per capita consumption of paints in India is very low at 0.5 kg per annum, with 4 kg in the South East Asian nations and 22 kg in developed countries. The global average per capita consumption is 15 kg.

It is divided into two segments :

Decorative or architectural paints Industrial paints

Decorative and industrial paints are the segments within the sector, in a 70:30 proportion

NOVOTA Industries

Company was started by two highly qualified & experienced technocrats, Mr. S. N. Patil and Mr. R. Y. Chaudhari . Both the Directors are Chemical Engineers and have 25 to 30 years of experience in the surface coating & chemical industry. Novota Industries has been established in 2007 to market and supply all innovative range of products Monthly Production Capacity : 25 MT

HEAT TRANSFER PROCESS

Heat or cold - molecular movement inside a material or substrate

Light wave energy visible & non-visible light wave spectrums

Heat Transfer Conduction, Convection & Radiation

CONDUCTION

Heat transfer from molecule to molecule. Molecule nearest to heat source gain kinetic energy. Molecule vibrates vigorously - affects next. More the temperature difference between two points, driving force to move heat is high.

CONVECTION

Light rays hits surface & bounces off changing direction. Light waves are reflected, thus returning the waves which employ heat. Large amount of light & radiation energy from Sun transferred into the substrate. If substrates has opaque surface, the energy transferred is reflected back. Reflection plays important role-considering how energy is either lost or gained.

RADIATION
Transfer of heat by electromagnetic radiation Internal energy of system converted into radiant

energy.
Radiation

heat

transfer

is

more

at

high

temperature than at lower temperatures.

Heat Stress

variety

of

problems

associated

with

very

warm

temperatures and high humidity.

The severity of heat stress is correlated to both ambient temperature and humidity level.

Effect of Heat Stress on Dairy Animals

Decrease in milk production Reduced body condition

Acute health problems

Rumen acidosis Significant drop in pregnancy rate High incidence of abortions High death loss

Effect of Heat Stress on Milk Production

Why is Heat Stress Important to Farmers?

Heat Stress = Decreased Milk Production Decreased Milk Production = Less Money Less Money = Unpaid Bills & Hungry Kids

Cool Roof Concept

The major amount of heat is absorbed by the roof. About 80% - 85% of heat is being absorbed by the

roof itself.
In open sheds the roof is the major heat carrier to

the cattle.

SUNSHEETAL
Heat Reflective Paint

One component PU-acrylic water based exterior paint. Keeps away of Suns infra-red energy from emitting into the shed/ building.

Reduced energy cost & a higher level of comfort. Water resistant & hence do not support growth of fungus & algae. Cleans up with soap and water.

Special features of SUNSHEETAL

15-20C. reduction in temp. of roof during the warmest part of the day. Saves structure from heat stress problem.

Excellent resistance to abrasion, temperature, fire and seawater

Maximum results are achieved when all walls and roofs from outside are coated.

PRINCIPLES BEHIND COATING

Newton's law of cooling Q = h x A (To- Tenv)

Q - Thermal energy in Joules h = Heat transfer coefficient A = Surface area of heat being transferred T0 = Temperature of the object's surface Tenv = Temperature of the environment

Payback Schedule for

Milk production per day per animal = 15 ltr per day

Sunsheetal
=

Number of Animals : 50

Total cost of Milk @ ` 20 per ltr ` 15000

Area of shed = 3000 sq ft

Cost of application of Sunsheetal = ` 15 per sq ft Total cost of application = ` 45000

Expected increase in production after application of Sunsheetal = 1% (min) = 0.15 ltr per day
Increase in income per animal per day = 0.15 x ` 20 = ` 3 Increase in income from the farm per day = ` 3x 50 = ` 150

Average life of Sunsheetal = 7 years

Net payback Period = 300 days 1 year approx Profit by application of Sunsheetal in lifetime = ` 3,38,250

Conclusion
Increase in reproductive efficiency Less cost incurred in feed intake

Improvement in the health of dairy cows

Increase in milk yield

Increases the life span of the cattle.
