PMSSB PROFILE
PETRONAS Maritime Services Sdn Bhd (PMSSB) was established on 4th June 1992 and is wholly owned by PETRONAS. PMSSB is vested with the authority on behalf of PETRONAS to enforce the PETRONAS Policy on Maritime Activities. PMSSB main role is to be the focal point for the provision of marine expertise, consultancy and services to PETRONAS and all its OPUs. PMSSB is certified ISO 9001:2000 from Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI).

PMSSB has two wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Kertih Port Sdn Bhd (KPSB) in Terengganu and Sungai Udang Port Sdn Bhd (SUPSB) in Melaka.

MARINE SERVICES & CONSULTANCY

Provision of Marine Consulting Services on Newbuilt Vessels for Upstream and Downstream Operations including issuance of specifications, tender exercise management, construction supervision, progress surveys, sea-trials and performance test. Provision of marine controllers and rig movers for the upstream industry. PMSSB is an approved consultant by the Marine Dept, Ministry of Transport, Malaysia to conduct Port facility Security Assessment (PFSA) and develop Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) in accordance with the ISPS Code.

MARINE ASSURANCE
SHIP VETTING
PETRONAS Policy on Maritime Activities requires vessel calling at PETRONAS Terminals and vessels which are to be chartered by operators for the carriage of petroleum or petrochemical products in bulk, shall be vetted by PMSSB. The authority to exercise its expertise on behalf of PETRONAS when any reference of an approval by PETRONAS is made in the policy has also been vested to PMSSB. PMSSB engaged qualified professional to undertake vetting, which consist of Class 1 Master Mariners and Class 1 Marine Engineers as well as Third Parties inspectors.

OFFSHORE INSPECTION
The Inspection/Survey of Vessel, MODU and Barge involved in upstream activities for purpose of On-Hire, Safety and Regulatory Conformance and / or Suitability for intended use.

KERTEH PORT SDN BHD

Own, Operates and Manages Kertih Marine Facilities. Major Activities Pilotage and Marine Support Services Emergency Response Services Port Management and Operations Navigational Safety Marine Services to PP(T)SB SBM (85,000 Dwt), PCSB FSO Puteri Dulang and Bunga Kertas

KERTEH PORT SDN BHD

Consists of 6 Berths (1,000 DWT 50,000 Dwt) Handles more than 700 vessels per year with a throughput of 2.5m per year No. of Pilots/Mooring Masters 13. Two 40t bollard pull tugs and two mooring boats.

SUNGAI UDANG PORT SDN BHD

Operates and Manages Sungai Udang Port for PETRONAS Penapisan (M) Sdn Bhd. Major Activities Pilotage and Marine Support Services Emergency Response Services Port Management and Operations Navigational Safety

SUNGAI UDANG PORT SDN BHD

Consists of 8 Berths (1,000 DWT 120,000 Dwt) and one SBM (100,000 300,000 Dwt) Handles Hydrocarbon and Products. No. of Pilots/Mooring Masters 10.
