Atmospheric corrosion resistant elements as Cu, Cr, and Ni are added to structural steel to increase both weather and corrosion resistance. This type of steel is classified into coated and non-coated steels. Steel with lamellar tear resistance is used in oil drilling ships and crude oil production platforms. This type of steel has improved ductility in thickness direction as well as lowtemperature toughness.
