• Families want male children and have
more kids in order to get them.

Solutions to Overpopulation
• There are many things
that can be done to
control and prevent
overpopulation in the
Dominican Republic.
• Furthering education
• Becoming industrialized
• Birth Control
• Sterilization
• Gov, supporting the
ideas of small families
Controversial Solution
• Birth control would be a
good solution to helping
with overpopulation.
However, in many
cases it looked down
upon. A lot of countries
say that birth control is
against their religion.
Although it could be a
great solution too many
religious leaders are
preaching against it.
