Presidential Newspaper Project
• You will publish a paper covering the major events of a
chosen president. Your paper will have articles,
graphics, and displays that were common during that
president’s term. The articles in your paper will cover
– One major foreign policy issue of that president
– One major domestic policy issue during that
presidency
– An editorial commentary on that president
– A cultural phenomena that occurred during that
presidency
Your Newspaper will have
• A publisher—Mr. Strodtbeck. The publisher will
determine the focus of each paper and how each
employee of the paper will be rewarded for their work
• An Editor—Issues assignments and approve final drafts
and placement of stories. The editor also writes the
editorial
• A layout person—an individual who will place all the
articles on the Microsoft publisher template
• Proofreaders—Everyone in the group is required to read
and correct their own copy and that of another member
of the group.
• Reporters—everyone will write an article—the editorial
counts as the article for the editor
