Welcoming Address

Welcome to Chosun University. As some of you may know, our Regional Innovation Center for Dental Engineering and Industry is certified by the ministry of Knowledge and Economy in Korea. Our efforts here at the RIC, in cooperation with the city of Gwangju, Chosun University Dental Hospital, and Dental school are aimed at making Gwangju a global hub for dental implant R&D, and education, and G10 life science & culture forum. This is the forth implant training course that followed the first, second and third courses in 2010 and 2011. This course will provide you with opportunities to exchange the latest information and skills in the field of implant dentistry. This course have three main goals. First, using the clinical implant system of the Chosun University Dental Hospital, we will provide you with basic and intermediate courses. During this course, you will experience an implant curriculum based on the theoretical and practical process. As a result of this course, you will be able to apply newly learned implant knowledge and methods to your own practice back in Indonesia and Myanmar. Second, I hope this program will initiate health community in Asia. developing the mutual understanding necessary to facilitate cultural and personal exchanges between us will foster optimum implant results in all three countries. Furthermore, I hope all of you can take a leading role in establishing a G10 life science and culture forum for Dental Implantology.

The G10 Life Science and Culture Forum is a creative and futuristic concept that we hope to fulfill these goals. First, it act as the framework for the Asian community of life science and Culture. Second, it can be an open door for cultural exchange to the Life Science communities of Asia. Third, it builds the foundation for global age of Asia. With a systematic organization in hand, the forum will act as a global network for sharing information and knowledge, contributing for Asias leading role in the work.
