Bio-Diversity & Natural Resources

Project component: LSNHS students, teachers Project Site: TBOLI South Cotabato

I: RATIONALE

Planet earth is the only planet known to support life. The earth provides every living organism with food to eat, air to breathe and water to drink. It also provides materials for shelter, clothing and other basic needs. From the earth, people mine minerals like coal and oil. They cut trees and other vegetation for food and shelter. They also fish from oceans and bodies of water, hunt in the forest. These things people take from the earth and uses for their needs are called natural resources. Will anything be left these resources for the coming generations? Can something be done to save mother Earth? Tboli, is a place where many natural resources that should be cared and preserved of. In relation in this study, we, students of LSNHS are willing to give a hand for tboli people to have a place that they will call paradise. In bio-diversity & natural resources recovery there are many factors to be consider. A solution must be set. Conducting seminars of other knowledgeable forums. Recycling plan.

II: Objectives/ purpose

General:

Will help people be more alert and productive. Specific: To develop desirable habits of people. To give knowledge, techniques, skills and traits related to bio-diversity and natural resources. To put up project for community improvement. Develop attitude of creativity.

III: Definition
Landslide , descent of a mass of earth and rock down a mountain slope. Landslides may occur when water from rain and melting snow sinks through the earth on top of a slope, seeps through cracks and pore spaces in underlying sandstone, and encounters a layer of slippery material, such as shale or clay, inclined toward the valley. The water collects along the upper surface of this layer which it softens. If the support is sufficiently weakened , a mass of earth and rock slides down along the welllubricated layer. Some great landslide masses move slowly and spasmodically for years, causing little destruction. Policy/ Ordinance:

This proposal was adopted by the Mayor of Tboli in 2011-2012. The students of LSNHS suggested that the Tboli adopt the Bio-Diversity & natural resources.

Preserve & Conserve natural resources:

Earth is losing approximately 27,000 species per year. This estimate is based primarily on the rate of disappearance of natural ecosystems especially in Tboli and their community, We can measure the rate of loss of their natural ecosystems, for example, by analyzing from different periods that show rates and amounts of habitat destruction.

Soil health:

To prevent exposure of bare soil, farmers can use techniques such as leaving crop residue in the soil after harvesting or planting temporary growths, such as
