NATCOM NETWORK OVERVIEW

In Natcom network overview we have six important parts, each node of parts: 1. NSS (Network Switching System) control to MSC/VLR, HLR/AuC. 2. BSS (Base Station System) controls radio access network. 3. PS (Packet Switch) control to SGSN, GGSN, Border Gateway, DNS, Charging Gateway and Firewalls. 4. Roaming have control to Roaming replicator server, Media Device used for international signaling connection. 5. OCS (Online Charging System) control to SCP system. 6. VAS (Value Add Service) control to CRBT, MMS, SMS. - CRBT (Color Ring Back Tone) - MMS (Multi Message Service) - SMS (Short Message Service) ABOUT NATCOM MOBILE NETWORK DIAGRAM *At Natcom we have too MSC 1-Mstu01 2-Ms tu02 On the MSC at NATCOM he can have 750000 subscriber. *NATCOM have many BTS to give the signal for the subscriber, for BSC natcom have fore BSC to control the traffic in the BTS and for HLR we have on pair and on in on pair is standby.

DESCRIPTION OF BSS
BSS: BASE Station Subsystem

BTS

(Base Transceiver Station) BSC(Base Station Control)

DESCRIPTION OF NSS
NSS: Network Switching Subsystem
Mobile Switching Center(MSC) Home Location Register(HLR) Visitor Location Register(VLR) Authentication Centre(AUC) Equipment Identity Register(EIR)

FUNCTION OF BTS
Base transceiver stations

FUNCTION OF BSC
BSC (Base Station Controller)

The BSC is the base station BTS which manages installed in an area data. he can manage tens of BTS and serves as an interface between the switch and the BTS mobile. and it handles the signal. The function of the BSC is the coordination between the radio relay and signaling ,the BSC controls and supervises a number of BTS.

FUNCTION OF MSC
MSC (Mobile Switching Center)

The MSC is the central component of the NSS. Operates all switching functions for the mobiles with in its jurisdiction. Interface between mobile and other (including fixed) network. The MSC is center of the call and when some call you the MSC is there to control the call if you can do this call or not and control the signal if the signal is not good hi make and over with orther site if hi cant the signal block immediately .

FUNCTION OF MSC
The functions: Manages the location of mobiles Switches calls Manages Security features Controls handover between BSCs Resource management Interworks with and manages network databases Collects call billing data and sends to billing system Collects traffic statistics for performance monitoring

Function OF HLR
HLR (home location register)

The HLR is a data base and Home Location Register (HLR) contains all the subscriber information for the purposes of call control, and location determination. There is logically one HLR per GSM network, although it may be implemented as a distributed database. The function is for to save all information for the subscriber For HLR when some one buy a SIM all the information of this subscriber is in the HLR

Function OF VLR
VLR (visitor location register)
The VLR is a data base from an MSC. -The function of is responsible for one or several MSC

areas -The VLR is a database connected to an MSC that stores information temporarily for each mobile in the working area of the MSC (subscriber identity, his last location area, all supplemental by it, any restriction or prohibition of establishment of the communication).

FUNCTION OF GMSC
GMSC (Gateway Mobile Switching Centre)
The GMSC then processes the call conventionally. As

described in the previous scenario, The GMSC interrogates the HLR via a request MAPSEND-ROUTING-INFO to determine the location of the MS.

Intelligent Network
IN (Intelligent Network)

The internet network is there to operate the telecommunication.

DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION VAS

VAS (Mobile value-added services)
Mobile value-added services (VAS) are those services that

offer differentiation and the ability for mobile operators to charge a premium price. The function : Mobile VAS include non-voice advanced messaging services such as SMS, MMS, MIM, and UM and wireless data services based on wireless data bearer technologies such as WLAN, GPRS, WAP with VAS applications including mobile gaming. Mobile VAS also includes voicebased services such as PTT and WDA.

INTERFACE
There are three interface : UM/ABIS/A Interface

A interface: This is the interface between a BSC and a MSC. Abis interface: The one connecting the BTS to a BSC is known as Abis interface. This is responsible for carrying traffic and maintenance data. Is on the features GSM.

SOS PROCEDURE
The executor is:

In NOC the standby staff of : 1-Chief of NOC Dept 2-Chief of Shift 3-Stanby staffs -if you have a problem from you computer or on alarm after 3 minutes you suppose to say that with my chief in my chief can report that with the chief operating NOC standby staff make to solve problem.
