1ST DIVISION GUIDANCE & COUNSELING SEMINAR WORKSHOP ON PROGRAM PLANNING AND ORGANIZATION OF GUIDANCE IMPLEMENTORS OF SURIGAO

The students personal and interpersonal development will be the Guidance Counselors, administrators, teachers and parents concern.

Therefore, it is but necessary that guidance program and its services will be effectively implemented to really help our young students. It is the desire of the Guidance Center of the Department of Education Surigao City Division to ensure the effective implementation of the different Guidance and Counseling Services and Programs.

Therefore, it is vital that planning Types of Prejudice and designing such program will be done. However, there is a lack of personnel who will perform the tasks thus, there is a need to coach all the Guidance Support Staff to make a long range and Unified Developmental Guidance and Counseling Services and Program in all schools.

Along this line, they need to be equipped with the knowledge on how to make a very substantial and functional one. This can only be realized through a seminar workshop and trainings.

Hence, the conduct of this Seminar Workshop

WHY MAKING A PROGRAM?

PROGRAM IS A BLUEPRINT WHICH SERVES AS OUR GUIDE IN IMPLEMENTING EFFECTIVELY EVERY ENDEAVOR IN OUR LINE OF FIELD.

Objectives of the Guidance Program: The Guidance Center of Surigao City Division helps concretize the vision/mission of the Department of Education. It strives to help Surigao City Division attain its goals as a learning institution with the following objectives:

PURPOSE
. To help students get a feeling of belonging by being acquainted with their environment. To help students discover that by their own efforts they can achieve and perform to the maximum level of their capacities, abilities, skills, and potentials.

To make students realize and understand their individual identity, uniqueness, worth and dignity.
To assist the students in knowing their strength and weaknesses, enabling them to understand and accept themselves and others better.

To assist the students in and weaknesses, enabling them to understand and accept themselves and others better. To help students meet, understand and solve their problems intelligently.

To assist the student learn to live in a wholesome environment of sharing, caring and cooperating harmoniously with the people in his community, in his country, and the whole world in general. To prepare them to face the world of work after college maturely and responsibly.

Specific Objectives: To strengthen the students awareness of the Guidance services rendered. To orient students, parents and faculty and staff of the services offered.

To provide assistance to students with personal, behavioral, social and academic concerns.

To involve parents in the implementation of the different guidance services.

To assist the new students in adjusting to their new environment and become acquainted with the school and overcome difficulties. To help students especially the freshmen/transferees overcome difficulties.

To assist students gain knowledge and achieve selfunderstanding. To provide an accurate, up to date and available records of students.

To make available adequate guidance and counseling services. Help students attain inner freedom and self-direction; Assist the students achieve optimum use of their potentials, skills talents and abilities;

Help the students lay a solid foundation for a healthy, mature sound body and mind and welladjusted to the environment where he/she belongs. Assist the students to learn to live a well-balanced life in all aspects of daily living. Assist the teachers in understanding the nature of the learners

Offer in-service training to teachers to acquire guidance skills; and Provide Peer facilitating skills seminar to students who was able to pass the screening of Student Peer Facilitators who met the requirements
