Kashmir

paradise on earth Shares border with china Pakistan and afganistan The triangular war between India Pakistan and Kashmir has been ongoing since 1947. Two main problems are- species survival and ecological imbalance

India and Pakistan can go on a long way towards solving the Kashmir issue. The only need is there should be proper coordination from the people in taking proper steps. The solution of Kashmir issue or dispute lies in the goodwill of India Pakistan and not on political leaders.
It is good for both the countries to talk less for Kashmir and more for the well beings of the people of both the nations. The people of both the nations are alike in appearance, language, culture, customs, mode of thinking, and even in ethics of religion even though the religion of the majority community is different. Both the religion believe in the welfare of the common people- to help the poor in distress, to help the victim in danger and to do prayer to Al-mighty almost everyday for the good of mankind.

SEZ(SPECIAL

ECONOMIC ZONE) is a particular area inside a state which acts as a foreign territory for terrific and trade operations. It helps in development of infrastructure of the area It also provides employment.

The main objective of SEZ act are: Generation of additional economic activity. Promotion of exports of goods and services. Promotion of investment from domestic and foreign sources. Creation of employment opportunities. Development of infrastructure facilities.

SEZ in India is as hot as real estate the issue that has always been raised is LAND ACQUISITION and the way of acquiring land by the private entities. Goa is a small state having scarcity of land recourse and around 40% area of it is already under forest land and coastal land on the other side limiting the scope of its territory expansion. In the context f giving away 1,20,770 meters of land from goas scare land resource for 18 SEZs with no benefits to the state was not acceptable to Goas movement against SEZs and the people at large.

Employment

benefits-the main reason for establishing the SEZ in Goa is to generate employment for the locals. It employed nearly 80% of the locals. Increasing infrastructure there was a huge development of the state and it was getting more industrialized.

Increasing

in population-17 out of 18 SEZs are supposed to generate 927100 jobs goa does not have large quantum of skilled workers so they have to employ from other states. So they migrate with their family. this increase in population problems like water ,electricity shortages. Issue of taleigao infrastucture-goan roads are narrow, with number of vehicles and due to this traffic and many other social and economic problems arose.

Demographic

imbalance-a Demographic imbalance is bound to have serious repercussion on the tourism industry. Environmental problems- huge traffic due to this a lot of noise pollution as well as air pollution was created. Deforestation- a number of trees are cut down for more construction. Dumping waste- the solid and liquid chemical waste polluted the land and water which affected the marine life and the fertility of the agricultural land.

The

note was demanded for cancelation of sez had not come from any anti-establisement groups or single-minded environmentalist it came from the grass roots: practically every gram sabha had demanded the abolition of all the sez in the state as well as the sez policy. The NGOs and the trade unions protested against the sez policy. The young youth of goa educated the locals about the problems created by the sez in the state.

Opposing

sezs,IT parks, new townships, special fishing zones, special tourism zones does not mean to protest against the industrialization but we want industries that are environmental friendly. Based on the availability of man-power within the state and those which are sustainable are not exploitative of nature.

Training

the workforce from Goa. Increasing the roads making them more broader. Making arrangements for dumping the solid and liquid chemical waste. Recycling the waste. Implementation of laws to keep our forest save.

Development

has to be totally based on the needs of the state, with its vision for growth It should not destroy the existing development and progress. Development is necessary for the country but this should not exploited the nature and the natural resources. It should be balanced.

Thank you.
